In chapter 53 verse 4-5 he tells us "Surely our grief's He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed." Later, during Jesus' ministry, we're told that He healed ALL of the sick that were brought to Him. And when Jesus commissioned His disciples in Mark 16:17-18, He sent them out saying "These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." Since "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever" (Heb 13:8) we believe that the full benefit of His atonement on the cross is available to us today and declare in faith that people are being healed through prayer in Tolland Connecticut.
